2009 Admission for International Students of NTUT

National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) was founded in 1911. With long-standing history and experience in education, it devotes to cultivation of technical professionals. Alumni of the NTUT have contributed greatly to the economic development of Taiwan and won wide praise from businesses of all industries. NTUT ranks among the top over 150 colleges and universities, and has been voted as the second most preferred college by senior managers of leading companies in Taiwan in 1994 and 1996. In order to create an international environment of learning and creativity, NTUT has always encouraged international cooperation. Special programs in English have been developed in order to facilitate and stimulate exchange of knowledge. We offer excellent facilities for all students and are experienced in
providing tailor-made courses for international students. Currently, dozens of oreign students have joined both undergraduate and graduate programs in several departments in College of Engineering, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, College of Management, as well as College of Design.

ITRI International Graduate Student Scholarships

Objective
This scholarship is sponsored by Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI, Taiwan) Also, it is target to encourage outstanding international graduate students to study in Taiwan and help them to find their career in Taiwan.

Award
Recipient receives scholarship NT$30,000 (USD$910) per month.

Duration of Award
(a) Master Program: Maximum 2 years
(b) Doctoral Program: Maximum 4 years

Obligation:

(a) Degree:Complete the degree of Master or Ph. D. degree within the term of the program
(b) Internship:Take an internship during summer vacations at ITRI before completing his/her graduate program
(c) Service Commitment:Serve at ITRI for maximum three years after graduation

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
(a) Apply for the following programs of National Yang- Ming University
¤ Microbiology and Immunology
¤ BioMedical Informatics
¤ Biophotonics
¤ Biomedical Engineering
¤ Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
¤ Oral Biology
(b) Is not an R.O.C. (Taiwan) national.
(c) Does not have the status of being an overseas compatriot student
(d) Is not a recipient of any other scholarship or subsidy offered by the Taiwan government or at any other educational institutions in Taiwan.

How to apply
When applying for the Degree study of Yang-Ming University, applicants just note it down in the application form. If the applicant qualified, he/she will be interviewed by the director of ITRI

NCCU Asia-Pacific Master's Program

NCCU Asia-Pacific Master's Program was established to increase awareness and understanding of Taiwan and its role in Asia-Pacific as well as world affairs. We seek to improve our schools’ standards and international academic position through international academic interaction and cooperation. Our college has established the English taught Asia-Pacific research oriented masters’ degree program and the English taught doctoral program to attract outstanding professionals from Taiwan’s society as well as highly motivated international students.

NCCU Asia-Pacific Master's Program focuses on research related to the Asia-Pacific region. We hope outstanding public and private sector employees will return to school and combine their experience with academic theory and interact with international students from all over the world. We seek to cultivate an international viewpoint and foster international cooperation while improving our English ability. Our goal is to plant the seed of learning and develop cross-strait professionals who have both academic expertise and practical experience.

NCCU Asia-Pacific Master's and Doctoral program are the first completely English taught programs in Taiwan. We seek to recruit local and international students who have an interest in Asia-Pacific affairs. The doctoral program offers students cross-discipline and integrated research resources related to the Asia-Pacific region, it also provides research experience in Asia-Pacific as well as international issues. To help better cultivate experts in the field of Asia-Pacific research, we endeavor to make National Chengchi University and the College of Social Science into one of the world’s top Asia-Pacific research programs.

TIGP is now accepting applications for admission to the 2009 fall semester, and applications are due before 31 March, 2009. TIGP offers the following nine Ph.D. programs:
